It’s a wonderful opportunity to give back and make a tangible difference in the lives of less fortunate people. It is a family-friendly event and children 5+ can attend. \n\n\n\nTo make this day even sweeter\, we’ll be hosting a cookie exchange at the end of the event. Feel free to bring your favorite cookies in individual little bags to share\, or simply enjoy the treats and camaraderie. Please rsvp through Eventbrite to reserve your spot. \n\n\n\nLove Is A Verb documentary is an examination of a social movement of Sufi-inspired Muslims that began in Turkey in the 1960s and now reaches across the globe. The group is called Hizmet\, the Turkish word for service\, or The Gulen Movement after its inspiration\, leader\, and beloved teacher Fethullah Gulen\, a man that Time Magazine named one of the most influential leaders in the world in 2013.  \n\n\n\nWe look forward to seeing you there. \n\n\n\nTASMN               \n\n\n\n                    \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nNote: As you may already know\, a devastating earthquake has struck Turkey and Syria\, causing widespread destruction and thousands of lives. DESCRIPTION:On February 6th\, a catastrophic series of earthquakes rocked southern Turkey and northwestern Syria\, causing widespread devastation with over 36\,000 fatalities. The 7.8 magnitude earthquake and its aftershocks reduced huge swaths of towns and cities to mountains of broken concrete and twisted metal. It is a difficult time for those who have lost their loved ones. We extend our sincerest condolences to all those who have been affected by the earthquake. Our hearts and prayers are with all them during this difficult time.  \n\n\n\nIn response to this tragedy\, the Turkish American Society of Minnesota is taking action and inviting you to our bake sale to remember the victims and show our support. No matter how small\, your help can make a significant impact on the lives of those affected by this disaster. \n\n\n\nWe would also appreciate it if you could share this fundraising event with your friends and network.
